CLIMATE JUSTICE: WHO HAS A SEAT AT THE TABLE?
An Assessment of COP29 for a Fairer COP30 and beyond.
This report is more than a collection of findings, it is a reflection of the lived realities, frustrations, and hopes of those who navigate and challenge global systems not designed for them. At Level the Playing Field in Development (LPFDev), we believe that shifting power must begin with shifting narratives. That means not only amplifying voices from the margins, but making space for them to lead, define, and transform the story itself.
This project emerged from a collective desire to expose the patterns of exclusion embedded in global climate spaces. It was written, shaped, and sharpened by a collective committed to decolonial practice, not just in theory, but in how we collaborate, question, and create. The result is a report that is both critical and hopeful.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this work, especially those who trusted us with their stories and perspectives. Let this report be a step toward deeper accountability, bolder truth-telling, and more just futures.
